Our Front of House

Chloe started working at Owd Betts eight years ago, beginning  as a pot washer before advancing to a waitressing position. After completing her degree in Psychology and travelling extensively throughout Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Bali, Chloe returned to Owd Betts as a valued member of our front-of-house team. She has since been promoted to Restaurant Supervisor.

Chloe is known for her lovely rapport with customers and positive manner. In her spare time, she enjoys creating art, and she recently designed our logo.

When asked about her favourite things about Owd Betts, Chloe highlighted the supportive and close-knit team, the rich history of the pub, and how the place looks pretty—ranging from the scenic beer garden and beautiful views in summer to the cosy atmosphere with open fires and candlelight during winter.

Sharon worked at Owd Betts for over 25 years, having joined when her daughter, a part-time waitress, told her about an opening for lunchtime help.

A familiar face to generations of customers, Sharon brought warmth and humour to the pub, quickly becoming a trusted friend to the landlords and many of the staff. She loved to travel, and even went hot air ballooning in Morocco with another member of staff!

Sadly, Sharon passed away in 2025. She remains an important part of the story of Owd Betts, and is remembered very fondly by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing and working with her.
